Anti Hair Fall Oils & Serums strengthen and revive strands while encouraging hair growth, while providing relief for dryness, itchiness, dandruff and other scalp concerns.
Formulated with a 14-oil super blend, this nourishing oil is designed for low porosity (straighter or wavy) hair. Packed with moisturising ingredients like jojoba oil to seal in moisture and control frizz.
1. Argan Oil
Argan oil, an iconic Moroccan beauty product originating in arid zones of southwest Morocco and extracted from argan tree kernels, has long been recognized for its nourishing and protective qualities for both skin and hair.
Oil rich in Vitamin E and essential fatty acids is ideal for treating dry skin, protecting hair from damage, and stimulating its growth.
As research on argan oil remains limited, its anti-ageing and anti-wrinkle benefits as well as potential hair loss prevention may make it worthwhile. However, its use should be approached cautiously as too much undiluted argan oil could lead to seborrheic dermatitis (dandruff). For best results, ensure your oil is pure and stored in an opaque bottle.
2. Jojoba Oil
Jojoba oil is an abundant plant-derived oil that closely resembles sebum, the natural oils produced by skin. Because of this similarity, it absorbs easily without clogging pores – making jojoba an excellent moisturizer and skin-nourishing ingredient.
Shape’s testers found applying it two to three times each week extremely easy (thanks to its dropper application), and noticed fuller-looking strands without any trace of oiliness or residue.
Jojoba oil may be applied directly to your scalp, though for optimal results it should be mixed into your shampoo or conditioner to help mask its strong fragrance. Be sure to perform a patch test prior to beginning regular usage; adding other essential oils can further boost its benefits.
3. Coconut Oil
Plant-based oil has long been used as an effective moisturizing product, helping reduce dandruff, improve scalp health, and stimulate follicles to promote hair growth.
Apply this pre-shampoo treatment before shampooing (it should not be rinsed out) for reduced dryness, flaking and itching. Furthermore, botanical oils in this formula help enhance blood flow to your scalp as well as protect against protein loss from your hair follicles.
Even though no product can instantly transform you into Disney princess-level locks overnight, this non-greasy serum did wonders for our testers’ strands over six weeks of testing. By the end of this period they noticed slight growth as well as healthier, smoother strands that were easier to style than before – plus its dropper feature made targeting specific areas easy and efficient!
4. Castor Oil
Castor oil is an nutrient-rich vegetable oil pressed from the seeds of the castor bean plant (Ricinus communis). It’s safe for both external and internal use, and has even been used as an at-home remedy to treat various medical conditions.
Antimicrobial properties of tea tree oil help prevent scalp infections that lead to hair fall and act as an occlusive moisturizer, helping reduce water loss while protecting skin cells.
Yates suggests using a mixture of castor oil with coconut, sweet almond, or jojoba oils as a pre-shampoo treatment on your scalp for at least 30 minutes, ideally overnight, for optimal results.
She suggests mixing pure castor oil with essential oils like rosemary and peppermint to create a hair-nourishing blend.
5. Rosemary Oil
Rosemarinus officinalis oil, popularly used as an ingredient in cooking, contains powerful compounds with multiple health benefits – among them antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and anti-depressant properties.
Rosemary oil should be massaged into your scalp regularly for maximum benefits; if that seems daunting though, why not combine it with other moisturizing oils like jojoba and coconut to form a pre-formulated product instead? Trichologist Shab Caspara suggests mixing rosemary oil with these moisturizers for use prior to showering – for optimal results use before and after each shampoo session!
Testers found this serum was effective at making their hairline fuller and their scalps fuller over six weeks when used twice weekly; its liquid texture makes massaging easy, while its fresh scent was refreshing–plus it didn’t leave their locks stringy or greasy!
